New! Introduction to Excel Workshop (Section B)

If an individual works with numbers, they need to know Excel. In Introduction to Excel, students learn the skills needed to create, edit, format, and print basic worksheets. Along the way, they use the Fill Handle and the AutoSum tool. They learn to Insert columns and rows and add comments to cells. They polish the worksheet by formatting numbers, applying attributes (bold, italics), changing fonts, adding borders, and adjusting column widths.

Also, they learn to add, delete, and rearrange worksheets within a workbook as well as how to add names and color to work sheet tabs. They learn to view more than one worksheet at a time and to move worksheets between workbooks. They harness the power of the Group command, work with lists and understand the importance of relative and absolute cell references. They link data between worksheets and workbooks and create 3-D references. In addition, they refine printing techniques by setting and clearing Print Areas and adding headers and footers while working with Page Break Preview.

This course was previously levels 1 and 2.
