Intermediate Excel (Section B)

Students follow up on the Introduction to Excel and Working with Multiple Workbooks courses (Levels 1 and 2) by learning to utilize the most frequently used Excel functions–Sum, Average, Minimum, Maximum, Count, Count Numbers, and Count Blank. They learn to use the PMT function to calculate loan payments and understand the importance of working with cell names. They learn how to sort data and use the Search and Find features and finish by working with advanced printing features.

Do you find yourself creating the same worksheet over and over? If so, it’s time for a template. Templates increase accuracy by reducing repetitive tasks. Students learn how to use templates to combine specialized formatting, standardize text, and formulas in a special workbook upon which new workbooks are based while discovering how to use styles to stream line their work. They learn how to use the power of Excel Tables (new to Excel 2010) and the finer points of protecting worksheets and workbooks.

This course was previously levels 3 and 4.
